This series was meant to come out during the transition from fall to winter. On my walks to and from work, I'd find the color, texture, and shape combinations of fallen leaves on the ground to be lovely. The pooling of color and shape around another object, with no expectation, can be a beautiful thing... And so ephemeral.

Sometimes I'd forget my camera, and feel sad that I'd miss another 'good one', but I soon decided that another, possibly more interesting arrangement would find me the following day. And I was usually right.

The leaves that are almost whispers, the ones where their pigment has leached into the pavement are of special interest. Their patterns are a language that seem to be meant for something, or someone. When I first noticed them, I wondered how many times I'd seen them and not realized it. It is exciting to think about other things to 'see'.

The slideshow will typically contain about 10 photos. These will comprise a concept, theme or general thought. I am a visual person, and throughout my day, I am inspired by a lot of what I see. I hope to capture the amazement, joy, and excitement in these photos and have you, the viewer, experience it as well.
